Welcome to the B & L Horse Ranch, where appaloosa horses are our passion. Our love, respect and fascination for this wonderful breed continues to grow with each new day, and we believe there is no greater joy than sharing these horses with others.
Our goal is to provide folks with athletic horses bred for cutting, reining, roping or other performance disciplines. Don’t get us wrong... If you want a nice appaloosa, champagne or dun factor quarter horse for everyday pleasure riding, that’s fine with us, too. But the truth is, our horses have the bloodlines up close in their pedigrees to give them the genetic predisposition for performance. Add to this correct conformation and flashy appaloosa or dun factor color, and you’ve got a nice package.
We take these traits and add one more requirement. Our horses must have proven dispositions as riders. At the B & L, all our stallions are broke to ride. Whether it’s trail riding with mares and geldings, riding in local parades with dozens of strange horses, or working cattle with another stallion, all our studs are gentlemen.
Our broodmares are also broke to ride, and have proven to us that they are smart, even-tempered and have a willing disposition before they are placed in our breeding program.
